Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is this all about?
  • October 5th, 2019, Indian motorcycle riders from all over the country and Canada will gather in Hot Springs, Arkansas to participate in a Guinness World Record attempt to break the current record of 274 Indian Motorcycles in a Parade. At this time it’s NO longer call it an “attempt”, WE ALREADY HAVE 475+ REGISTERED...... are YOU ready to be part of Indian Motorcycle History?
I’m patched with another Club, am I able to participate?
  • The Gregory 500+ is open to ALL riders who own or ride an Indian motorcycle, it is not club specific. This event will be put on by riders of all different backgrounds, clubs, associations, and riders with no affiliation at all, that have one common goal.... That is to KKRUSH the current record of 274. If you’ve been curious about joining a specific Indian motorcycle club/association, this is the perfect time to meet some of the people associated with these organizations and find out what they are about and perhaps join.
I’d like to participate, but my motorcycle registration will expire before the event on Oct 5th. Should I wait to register after I renew my license?
  • REGISTER NOW! Early registration cannot be stressed enough. There are very strict guidelines on attempting to set a Guinness World Record, the amount of paperwork is intimidating, to say the least. Add the fact that we are talking 500+ participants for this event. Any registrations that can be completed prior to the date of Oct 5th takes a HUGE burden off the organizers. An email reminder will be sent to those who will have an expired registration in late August-September. All our ducks must be in a row by late September, you will definitely receive a reminder!
I’m not sure I can get off work or have my vacation approved for these dates. What if my motorcycle is in the shop and all of the sudden I can’t participate? I’d like to help out and register early, but can I get a refund if I’m unable to be there?
  • We will cancel and refund up to ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT, after that the books are locked. Again, please help out and REGISTER EARLY.
Does the bike have to be registered to the rider? In other words, can someone ride another persons Indian in the event? XXXX can’t make it but a friend would like to ride their bike in their place.
  • The bike must be tagged with a current state registered tag on October 5th, unless sales receipts show it was purchased within the 30 days prior. Gregory Polaris needs the info and name of the participant at the event who will be driving the bike. The two do not need to match but we need mate the paperwork in a file.
How do I register? or HELP! I’m having problems registering online!.....
  • Under the “FILES” tab on the Gregory’s Indian 500+ Facebook page is detailed information for registration. In a nutshell, go to this link and follow the instructions: https://www.gregorypolaris.com/gregories-500-registration
  • Call the dealership at 501-834-0344 for assistance. They can walk you through registration, and if you don’t have a PayPal account they can take payment over the phone.
What is the BOUNTY HUNTER mentioned at the bottom of the registration form?
  • If you sign someone up for the Gregory Indian 500+, or someone assisted you in registering, list their name and contact information in the space and they will be eligible for special BOUNTY HUNTER prize drawings at the event.
Where is staging for the Guinness World Record ride? I can only make it on Saturday, Oct 5th and need to know where to be.
  • The official Guinness Record ride will be stage at the Barrett Camp Complex (formerly VFW Post 2278), 2231 E Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901. This is behind the KOA Campground. Please... PLEASE.... P L E A S E register early so as not to add to the mass confusion that may occur with one hundred riders wanting to register at the last minute! KICK STANDS UP AT 12:00 NOON, make sure to arrive early to get in the line up of hundreds of bikes, find a shady spot to have breakfast and enjoy the building excitement.
I registered for Option One which included the T-shirt, mug, cup, patch etc.... Will these be mailed to us or where do we pick them up?
  • You will receive your “SWAG” bag when you sign in at the registration table at the Gregory Indian 500+ on Oct 5th.
This sounds interesting, but I can’t see traveling so far for a one day event. Is there anything else going on to make it worth the trip?
Seems kind of expensive to participate, where does the money go?
  • It costs thousand of dollars to bring in the Guinness World Record group to make an official record. This is, by far, the best way in spite of the cost, and everyone will know shortly after the ride if we were successful in setting a new world record. We have done our best to offer several different sign up packages to suit individual budgets. All proceeds will go to your choice of 5 different charity organizations. You can pick which charity you would like to contribute to when you register for the event. A full, transparent disclosure of monies will be available after the event.
What else is planned for the Hot Springs Indian Get Together Oct 2-5?
  • Up do 20 different guided rides through the Ozarks will be organized Wednesday to Saturday to participate in. There will be rides to suit every level of motorcycle expertise, from slower sight-seeing rides to more thrilling, aggressive rides through the twisties and turnies that the Ozarks are famous for. YOU pick which rides you would like to join. Rides and staging areas will be listed soon...... stay tuned.
  • Like music? The Moonshine Mafia with Anna Benson will be performing also. Check them out https://www.facebook.com/moonshinemafiaband/
  • Be sure to join in each night to meet new friends as 500+ Indian motorcycle riders gather to meet, greet and enjoy the camaraderie. Been seeing a particular character on forums and curious to ask him technical questions and discuss the brand? Without a doubt he will be there and will be happy to strike up a conversation.
I’d like to help KKRUSH the Indian Guinness World Record. How can I help get the word out to other Indian motorcycle owners?
  • Rob Gregory has added an incentive to those wanting to help advertise the event. The first 50 people who post a picture of a STACK of flyers at another Indian Dealership promoting the event will get a free Gregory Polaris Indian dealership T-shirt.
  • Also, if you sign someone up and help them register, there is a space at the bottom of the registration form for “BOUNTY HUNTER” . Put your name and contact information in here to be eligible for special BOUNTY HUNTER prize drawing at the Gregory Indian 500+ event.
What if it rains on Saturday, Oct 5th for the Guinness World Record attempt ride and how far is the ride?
  • The ride will go on, sunshine or rain. To comply with Guinness World Record rules, the route will only be 4 miles long so weather really isn’t a factor.... with 500+ motorcycles, the line will stretch out for miles.
Where should I stay, what hotels and campgrounds are available?
  • A list of hotels and campgrounds is provided under the “FILES” tab on the right of the Gregory’s Indian 500+ page, some with discounted rates if you mention the Indian rally. Multiple other hotels are available to suit any budget. Just google hotels for Hot Springs, Arkansas.
  • Also note, this is NOT being held at the Gregory Indian dealership in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Some scheduled rides may stop at the dealership through the week, however you will want to book your hotel/campground in Hot Springs.
I have a wife/husband/friend who doesn’t ride an Indian motorcycle who would like to come. Can other brands ride the weekend with us?
  • Absolutely! Other brand motorcycles are welcome and encouraged to ride with us during the week.... it’s all about friendship and enjoying the event, right? BUT for the Guinness record ride on Oct 5th, ONLY Indian motorcycles can participate.
