Corporate is now on board!


We're less than a month away and Indian Motorcycle has FINALLY jumped on the train.  I realize how hard this can be.   No doubt they don't want to appear biased in any way.  Back in '16/'17 they had a loose cannon in their midst and they kept their distance.  Then in '18/'19 they had other attempts, but none really had any momentum.   I"m assuming they have obviously been following this one and took a deep breath and said " ALL IN!"   Or something like that?

I was speaking to some buddies the other day and we were discussing how Indian AND Harley Davidson were having separate attempts, on the same day, less than 250 miles apart from each other.   One guy was was laughing saying "what do you have, 250 bikes?  Hahahah".   Well, no.  We have double that registered and possibly 3 times that?   I pointed out the HD record is around 2400 bikes and they didn't break it last year, despite there being millions of HDs in this country and we (Indian) would  be breaking the record this year!  HD ....who knows. They shut up.

Now, the real kicker here is ...  we have upwards of 600 bikes signed up currently.  Yet, thousands of owners around the country seem to have zero clue there is an attempt on the 5th of October this year in Hot Springs.  That's about to change?  Indian's FB page has 2,031,336 people that liked it and 2,013,508 followers.  So basically over a million uninformed people are potentially about to get educated?  Now, will that result in 50 more registration or 500+ more than the current registration count??    I'd told Rob Gregory over a month ago, if Indian would just get behind it the total would blow past 1,000.  Well, they have but did they do it soon enough?

We'll find out in less than a month!

 "Records are meant to be Broke"  Of course they are, but pick your battles wisely.   To get to the 651 mark in October of '19, took a year of planning and major effort by many, many people.  It had the backing / support of Corporate (though they kept quiet for the most part).  Was put together by one of the top dealers in the country. Was held in conjunction with an annual event. Others have tried recently to no avail.  Others have had attempted to derail the Oct '19 event, but failed.  Others have attempted to use this event to leverage their own for the future.  How?  As a minimum, 'they' used FB as a medium to attempt to 'friend' most all that attended, to then advertise their own attempt in the future. As we move forward, know the history of those that say they are putting together an event/attempt.  Be wary of promises that can't be kept. In a lil' over Two Weeks... the smoke will clear.   One thing will be certain, the "500" mark will be surpassed!     For those with a memory ... 2016 was advertised with '500!' ...   Failed .  Only got 265 or so, of which some were 'illegal'.  Not a whole lot of bikes. 2017 was advertised with '501!'  ...  Failed .  Only got 274 or so, of which some were 'illegal'.  Embarrassing. 2018 attempts failed 2019 attempts to date, failed 2019 attempt in Europe was shelved, but claimed to have upwards of 500 at their event.  How many would have even lined up though? On the 5th of October, in Hot Springs Arkansas that elusive 500 number will be KRUSHED!   Upwards of 600 bikes are currently registered as of today.  How many will line up that Saturday morning and Parade around the city to be counted?   Over 500 !
